Parkway Central Teens focused on the theme of authority by dramatizing the graphic novel Runaways, discussing an art exhibit in tandem with reading Smith’s graphic novel Lockdown: Escape From Furnace, and speaking with the group Decarcerate PA to learn about the realities of incarceration and its reform movements. They also used their reading of Griffin’s The Orange Houses to discuss culture and immigration.
