Getting to know Leslie Wilson

October 11, 2023
When Leslie isn't working, she's spending time with her daughter, Alyssa.

We’re growing here at PA Humanities! Leslie Wilson is one of two new Project Coordinators who recently joined our staff and we’re so excited to have her with us. Leslie is a Chester native who brings her experience in business security, operations, organizational management, and human resources to her work here, helping to manage our core programs as well as special projects. You can read her full bio here, but we thought it would be fun to do a short Q&A so you can get to know Leslie even better!

Q: Where’s a place in your hometown that everyone should visit, and why?

The Chase family: Nicole, Lamar and baby Leslie, with their father, Martin, and mother, Pam.

A: I would say our art district, downtown Chester (as we call it, Overtown). If you walk around over there you will get everything that you need. You can get history from Devon Walls, original artwork from Kenneth Hunt (The Art Monster), great authentic food from Duo Tacos, and you can access the only radio station in Chester, CMPRadio.net, in the classic Indigo Mills Building.

Q: What motivates you and inspires you?

A: My brother, Lamar Chase. My brother is a successful Producer/Director who was recently promoted to Senior Vice President of Current Programming at Sony Pictures Television. He’s a go-getter, super humble and always tells me how to be successful and stay successful. He shows me that although we’ve come from a city where people count us out, if you continue to work hard and push yourself all of your dreams can come true.

Q: Do you have a favorite author, artist or musician? What do you love about this person and their work?

A: Jay-Z. I love his work ethic. Besides him being a lyrical genius, he’s very strategic with the things that he invests in. He’s very humble, and can literally walk in any room and adjust.
