Teens read Barry and Pearson’s Peter and the Starcatchers to discuss pirate lore, learned about historical accounts of piracy, and used their mapping skills to create treasure maps. They also read The Invention of Hugo Cabaret, learning about the work of George Melies and using the book to discuss the mechanics of plot.
