Lucy Corrie-Tannen is a rising senior at Haverford College, originally from Los Angeles, with majors in Comparative Literature and Spanish. Her academic interests include translation, gender and sexuality studies, and medieval literature. Prior to interning at PA Humanities, Lucy worked on a digital humanities project for the Haverford Libraries, as a research assistant in the Haverford Spanish department, and as an intern on the Ticha Project, which documents and promotes Zapotec languages in Oaxaca, Mexico. At Haverford, she spends much of her time doing student theater, playing club soccer, and, as of this summer, experimenting with different types of fruit compote. Lucy is passionate about the power of language and storytelling, and is excited to learn from PA Humanities in their work connecting communities through these central themes.
