Paul Halpern is Professor of Physics and a Fellow in Humanities at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He is the author of 12 books on subjects ranging from the history of particle physics to the nature of time. Halpern is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Fulbright Scholarship and an Athenaeum Literary Award. His most recent book, Collider: The Search for the World's Smallest Particles, was ranked by Library Journal among the top science books of 2009. Halpern has appeared on numerous radio and television programs including Radio Times, The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special and the PBS Series Future Quest.
